Doug Swinskey Photography

Born and raised on the Jersey shore, Doug was immersed in the arts, and inspired by the beauty of his surroundings.

His skillful approach to photographing his favorite subjects - the ocean & the human form - has carried over to all other aspects of his work. . Whether it be images for fashion, beauty, portrait, or editorial. His distinct & recognizable photographic style sets his images apart.
In the past year i have been playing around with video editing/cutting. The first attempts were underwater videos i shot of the three models, that traveled to Virgin Gorda with me. I’ve also shot a couple video pictorials, with Roarie. I really love the added dimension that video brings to my work, so much so i just added a Nikon D7000 to my arsenal. Aside from being a fantastic back up camera to my D700, the video quality is super. Being able to use my great nikon glass, gives a character to the video, that my small HD video camera could never deliver. (that and it flooded on the river trip with Roarie a week ago) I cant wait to create something fantastic and share it with the community. Doug ~
